PRACTICE: Think of one person that you find it hard to be grateful for… be honest.

Here is an undeniable truth – everyone is born with potential for good and evil. Agree? What ultimately becomes of that potential is solely determined by how that potential is nurtured.

In my humble opinion, there are innate destroyers of potential – at the very top of the list is disappointment in self and the expression of it from others. THEREFORE, be careful when expressing your disappointment in others, you may be sabotaging the realization of their potential. Conversely, potential is nurtured when one is grateful for what and where you are in life AND recognize that one is capable of and meant for so much more. Gratitude allows NO space for ruminating on where one is not. It does allow space to see, appreciate and push forward. Gratitude always begets more. Don’t believe me? Start a new exercise routine and whatever you can do, do. Be thankful and faithful to the process. In a short time, you will find that you can do more. Gratitude always begets more. Others help to nurture potential when they see the potential in you and encourage and support the effort.

The ability to reach one’s potential only dies with one’s final breath. Even then, one’s potential continues to have expression in the lives of others.

When you place your foot on the floor beside your bed each morning, you day is completely full of potential…at that moment it is pure potential and nothing else. Express gratitude for what has the potential to happen. Express gratitude when the “whatevers” happen during the day. And when you draw the last foot into the bed in the evening, express gratitude for what happened and didn’t happen during the day… EXPRESS GRATITUDE FOR THAT PERSON YOU THOUGHT OF EARLIER. They too are full of potential and the two of you have that in common. Rest well and repeat 365 days a year.

Gratitude is one of the keys to nurturing, harnessing and harvesting your potential – Nurture it!

Psalm 50:23

PONDER THIS THOUGHT – Gratitude always begets more.
