Being present in the moment is the death sentence to preoccupation.I CANNOT be fully aware of where I am, what I am doing, who is around me and what they are doing if I am preoccupied with what I need to do next or what I did before I arrived at this present place.
Preoccupation steals the joy of being. Pay attention to what preoccupies your thoughts. The “pre” in front of occupy signals that something or someone has usurped the present space that you occupy. The body is present, but the mind is at a different location. Try releasing the “pre” and just occupy the now. That’s what I want to do in 2020.
I want to live in the hear and now. After all, NOW is all that I really own! I am excited about the unfathomable possibilities!
